Terms Of Service

By booking our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined by Northwoods Cleaners LLC.

Booking Confirmation

Booking a service online does not guarantee availability for your selected date and time. A confirmation will be provided via email or phone by one of our team members.

Cleaning Providers

All our cleaning providers are thoroughly vetted before joining Northwoods Cleaners LLC. You can trust that our team members maintain the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

Cancellations

If the booking is canceled with:

  • Less than 24hrs notice, you will be charged $50
  • More than 24 hrs notice, no fee will be charged

Lockouts

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that our providers have access to the service location on the scheduled day. If our team is unable to enter your home, we will make every effort to contact you and arrange access. If we are unable to reach you within 30 minutes of arrival, the cleaning will be skipped, and the full service fee will be charged. This charge is necessary to cover the providers’ lost time and travel expenses.

To avoid this fee, please provide us with a key, access code, or other means of entry in advance.

Alarm Systems

If your home has a security system, please ensure it is turned off prior to our arrival, or provide us with the necessary access code and instructions. To avoid our cancelation/lockout policies, please notify us immediately of any changes to the code.

Refund Policy

While we do not offer refunds, your satisfaction is our highest priority. If any aspect of our service does not meet your expectations, please notify us within 24 hours and we will promptly return to clean any missed areas at no additional charge assuming the following criteria are met:

➢ You must have performed the final walkthrough with our cleaner
➢ You must have signed off on the job prior to our cleaner leaving the house

(Exception is short term rentals)

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if conditions pose a safety risk, are inappropriate, involve the presence of weapons, severe clutter, or if essential utilities (e.g., electricity, heat, water) are not available.

Our providers have the discretion to leave the premises if they encounter unsafe conditions or if the environment is excessively unsanitary. In such instances, a cancellation fee will be charged.

Photography Waiver

By using our services, you agree to let Northwoods Cleaners LLC take and use photos of your property for marketing purposes, including our website, social media, and other promotional materials.

No payment will be provided for the use of these photos. You confirm that you own the property or have the authority to grant permission. If you do not want photos of your property to be used, please inform us in writing before we begin our services.

Cleaning Day Preparation

Your cleaning fee is based solely on the time and effort spent cleaning your home. To help our providers focus on cleaning, please take a few minutes to tidy up beforehand, ensuring clear access to areas like floors, countertops, and tabletops.

If you prefer that our providers handle tidying tasks, please notify us in advance, so we can adjust your fee to reflect the additional time required.

Add-On Services

We offer the following additional services for an extra charge:

  • Heavy-duty cleaning
  • Extra pet hair removal
  • Paint removal
  • Inside fridge cleaning
  • Wall washing
  • Heavy-duty wall washing
  • Interior window cleaning
  • Detailed blind cleaning
  • Inside oven cleaning
  • Dishwashing
  • Laundromat
  • Item re-stocking

Pets

We love pets and are happy to work around them. However, for safety and efficiency, we ask that you limit their activity during our visit. If your pet becomes anxious or poses a safety risk, our providers may need to leave, and our cancellation policy will apply.

Our providers will not enter a home if they feel an animal presents a threat. To avoid any issues, please secure your pets or ensure they are comfortable with strangers. If service is interrupted due to pet-related concerns, the full-service fee will be charged.

Service Fees

Our quotes are based on years of experience, but actual pricing may be adjusted depending on the condition of your home. To avoid any surprises, if the scope of work is greater than anticipated upon arrival, we will reach out to you to discuss any necessary adjustments. If we are unable to reach you within 30 minutes, our providers may need to leave, and our cancelation policy will apply.

We reserve the right to re-evaluate rates at any time based on the scope of work. If the cleaning time or requirements differ significantly from the initial estimate, Northwoods Cleaners LLC will promptly contact you to discuss any necessary changes in price or service.

Payments

We accept payments via credit card or E-transfer.

  • Credit Cards: Your credit card will only be charged AFTER the service is completed. However, to ensure funds are available, a hold will be placed on your card 24 hours before the scheduled service. Once the service is completed, we will attempt to reach you to ask how the service went. If we are unable to reach you within a 24 hr period, we will assume it went well and will proceed to charge the card on file.
  • Online Transfers: Payments via online transfer (PayPal, Venmo, Cashapp, Zelle, Stripe Invoice, etc.) must be completed at least 24 hours before your appointment. If payment is not received within this timeframe, your booking will be automatically canceled.

Recurring Service Discount

Discounts for recurring services take effect after the initial deep cleaning. If you skip scheduled cleanings or alter the service frequency, your pricing may be adjusted to reflect the new schedule (exception is short term rentals).

Use of Homeowner’s Vacuum

If you request that we use your vacuum, please note that we cannot be held liable for any damage to the unit. Additionally, if the vacuum is not functioning properly at the time of our visit, vacuuming services will not be performed.

Items We Cannot Clean

Mold removal is a specialized service, and we cannot be held liable for any mold-related risks present in clients’ homes. We do not clean homes affected by hoarding or areas containing any animal or human bodily fluids, blood, feces, vomit, cat litter boxes, bird cages, urine, or other excretions.

Unreachable Areas & Heavy Items

For safety and liability reasons, our providers do not climb higher than a step stool or perform any work outside of your home. Additionally, our cleaners are unable to move objects weighing more than 35 pounds. If you would like us to clean behind heavy items, please ensure they are moved prior to our arrival.

Breakage/Damage & Loss Policy

Although rare, the possibility of breakage or damage exists while we clean. Our providers exercise reasonable care and are insured against damage or breakage caused during service.

We are not liable for damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper installation of items in your home, or damage to artwork, collectibles, or family heirlooms not disclosed during the booking process. Items in this category include, but are not limited to:

  • Artwork, Collectibles, & Family Heirlooms: These items are valuable and often irreplaceable. Please point out any such items to us before we begin service and advise on how you would like them handled. In the event of breakage or loss, you must notify us within 24 hours. We will make every effort to provide an identical replacement, though this cannot be guaranteed.

Cleaner Arrival Window

We schedule our cleanings to minimize drive time, helping to maintain low prices and avoid additional trip fees. While we will do our best to accommodate specific time requests, please note that exact times cannot be guaranteed.

Due to the unpredictable nature of our business—such as traffic, weather, or mechanical issues—please allow us the flexibility to schedule your cleaning between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Typically, we will arrive within a 2-hour window as indicated in your booking. If we are running late, we will notify you via call or text using the contact information on file.

House Key/Key Release

If you choose to leave a door unlocked, place a key under a mat, or use any other unsecured method to provide access to your home, Northwoods Cleaners will not be liable for any damages or theft. Upon termination or cancellation of services, we will return any client keys in our possession within 48 hours or by the next business day.

Non-Solicitation of Northwoods Cleaners Providers

We ask that you do not solicit our providers for direct employment. Our professional cleaners are thoroughly vetted, background-checked, and trained, representing a significant investment of time, resources, and money. We rely on this investment to maintain the high quality of our services.

Governing Law

Any claims related to Northwoods Cleaners’ website and services shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Northwoods Cleaners reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
